The Scoop on Sugar & Salt

Sugar is a pure substance because its composition is homogeneous throughout. Pure substance can be either elements or compounds. Sugar or sucrose is a compound with the chemical formula C12H22O11. Table Salt (Sodium chloride) is a pure substance. In chemistry, the term "salt" is a reference to a variety of compounds formed in the reaction of a base and an acid. Compounds are considered to be pure substances. When dieting and omitting sugar and salts from your diet you have to remember that sugar and salt are substances and your body crave them just like an addict body will crave it's substance of choice like cocaine or heroin. You'll experience side effects from eliminating the substance.

Detox Water

Juicer's I can't stress clean eating enough to those of you that are ordering the detox Water. This is a 3 day detox that should be void of junk food, empty carbs, coffee and teas. While consuming the Detox Water you should be eating clean detoxifying foods which is primarily fruits and vegetables. If you choose to eat meat I'd only say consume it once a day and do it at lunch time. Aim for chicken or fish. Avocado Bell Pepper Salad

Ingredients 1 ripe avocado, diced 1 large bell pepper, diced (I use half yellow half orange) ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved 2 green onions, sliced 2 tablespoons fresh minced parsley or cilantro Juice of one lemon Salt and pepper, to taste Instructions Combine all ingredients in no particular order and enjoy! Great Lunch or Dinner Option!
